I am a corporate communication and advertising student from Germany and currently located in Stuttgart, Germany. I love hiking (preferably combined with visiting National Parks), spending time with my family and dogs! Coming from a small village on the Swabian Alb in southern Germany, being outdoors has always been a big part of my life, so naturally I became interested in issues revolving around the environment and sustainability. Being able to push these matters through my profession is my biggest goal, and I am currently working on my master thesis focussing on the sustainable fashion industry and the B-Corp Certification.
But let's start at the beginning: For my bachelor's degree I chose to do media studies and philosophy, where I learned the basics of the media industry and communication theories. After a while it became clear what I am particularly good at: creative problem solving, dealing with people, implementing projects and storytelling.

Before I startet my undergrad, I decided to do a voluntary social year and work as a paramedic. I was toying with the idea of studying medicine and wanted to know what it's really like to treat medical emergencies. I am glad that I didn't become a doctor, but through my full-time and voluntary work in the emergency services I grew a lot - professionally and as a person.
Through that, I learned early on what it means to take responsibility and be reliable, work under high stress and work in a team (communication is key!). These attributes still benefit me as a student, at work and in my private live.

I decided to do my Master's in Corporate Communications with a focus on branding and brand communication. Not only did I learn a lot more about strategic communication and worked on one campaign after the other, but I also fell in love with Stuttgart and its beautiful people!
Before I could complete it, however, I wanted to experience what it is like to study abroad. So I went to Eugene, Oregon, to participate in the 1-year-program Advertising and Brand Responsibility. Looking at things from the advertising and agency-side is incredibly interesting and I get to work with so many creative and smart people.
